Align Center for Workforce Development
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Align Center for Workforce Development including developing and leading a team of Center professionals and partners to produce exceptional employees, customer experience results, and financial success. The Director ensures the training programs being offered and other Center services delivered are of a high quality and meet the needs of Center customers. The Director guides cultural transformation, cultivating an inclusive and engaging work environment that attracts, develops, and retains top level talent. A collaborative business partner to other Center Stakeholders directly contributes to operational excellence within all areas of the Center, leading the development of a well-defined culture. This position develops and executes a comprehensive strategic plan that will ensure that the Align Center for Workforce Development is ready to meet the needs of our customers now and in the future.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Works with the Board of Directors/to establish short-term objectives, long-range goals, and related plans and policies.
2. Presents regular reports on the status of the Center’s operations to the Board of Directors/Director and to Center staff.
3. Oversees the organization’s financial structure, ensuring adequate and sound funding for the mission, goals and programs of the Center. Prepares annual Center budget and monitors progress against budget addressing any negative variances.
4. Ensures the Center’s compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards.
5. Identifies customer training or consulting needs and determines the types of training and services to be provided by the Center to address them.
6. Serves as the Center’s representative to the board of directors, partners, employees, the government, and the public.
7. Promotes LMS utilization with customers and serves as subject matter expert on the LMS that is part of the product offering of the Center.
8. Continuously maintains professional growth and learning by attending conferences, seminars, etc. Stays abreast of Learning and Development best practices to bring to the Center.
9. Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the Center’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
10. Identifies and manages relationships with Center vendors and third-party training and consultants.
11. Is responsible for preparation of the yearly facilities management budget and special budgets for future building and remodeling projects.
12. Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches to attract customers to the Center.
13. Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the Center.
QUALIFICATIONS/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in learning & development field.
2. Minimum of five years of experience with learning and development, consulting, employee experience.
3. Minimum of three years of experience leading team(s).
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and LMS
5. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
6. Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives in collaboration with other stakeholders
7. Demonstrated commitment to Align Center for Workforce Development mission, vision and values

$85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
